High-Precision Control Method for High-Power MRI Gradient Power Amplifiers

In magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), high-power gradient power amplifiers (GPAs) are required to drive the coils generate strong and high-fidelity fields. High precision is an essential requirement for GPAs since directly impacts MRI quality. Various aspects of GPA have been subject research in past years; however, high-precision control that meets stringent requirements applications still a challenge. This article proposes novel multi-rational-delay variables state space method efficient out-of-band signal injection achieve accuracy at level one part per million MVA output levels. First, systematic modeling design controller introduced utilizing vectors with variables. improves dynamic performance significantly. Second, presented further improve low current, enabling fulfillment challenging over full range. Finally, validated demonstrator 500 A/1000 V output. Key results 30% improvement current pulse reproducibility respect conventional factor 2.5 less noise currents.
